This is the first thing that I install every time I prepare a new machine. Having used Norton Commander as my file manager back in the days of DOS, I never liked Windows Explorer. Until the first version of the app (called at the time “Windows Commander”) appear, I kept an icon for a DOS window with Norton Commander to manage my files.
The main reason for liking it is the dual list of files and directories. It allows me to copy and move them from one column to the other, no matter if they are compressed or in a different FTP server. Things go from one side to the other just pressing a key.
